A combination of macerated and vapor distilled distillates, this botanical gin from Tom's Town Distillery should be an interesting review for Ginvitational Day 23! Some key botanicals are kaffir lime, lemongrass, pepper, and more. Let's get to it.
Strong ethanol and juniper, some pepper, and some honey. Perhaps some lavender. Not mega complex, but it’s pleasant.
Sweet, loaded with honey, juniper, lavender, a hint of lime and orange peel. Sweet, but with a bit of cassia to balance well. Medium mouth feel, but coats nicely. Faint astringency on the back palate.
Short, but pleasant again. Not mind blowing, but there is some nice sourdough, cake batter, pepper, light astringency and juniper. Hint of lemon peel here.
This is nice, but not exceptional. It’s good, but not great. Everything it’s doing it’s doing alright, but not particularly strongly. The chemical note on the back palate is a little weird, but forgivable. I liked this best in a gin and tonic, using the standard Fever Tree tonic to great end.
