  • Intro:

Junipero Gin is made in San Francisco, California, by Hotaling & Co. Unaged, this gin offers a classic dry experience with an emphasis on juniper, citrus peel and baking spices. Junipero is found for under $32, a small price to pay considering its higher-than-usual ABV of 49.3%

  • Nose:

A rush of cinnamon, clove, juniper, soft pepper and a touch of vanilla sweetness. Bright and enticing.

  • Taste:

Moderate viscosity on the palate, a twist of juniper and cinnamon ride throughout the palate. Love the proof on this one, great texture on the palate, satisfying richness. Cinnamon, juniper, black pepper and some faint orange and citrus.

  • Finish:

Long finish, orange, cinnamon and juniper play out for ages.

  • Overall:

A lovely gin, my only regret is that I’ve not heard of Junipero sooner. Whether cocktailing or enjoying neat on the rock, you’re in for a treat.
