  • Excerpt: There's nothing wrong here, but it doesn't really add up either. This is really sweet, and extremely fruit forward for a gin. I think its probably intended to be a mixer, but I'm not in love with it.

  • Excerpt: Overall, it’s hard to recommend this gin based on this sample. It is too sweet with the botanicals contributing a saccharine character that is overwhelming and hard to work with behind the bar.

  • Intro:

Ginvitational Day 38! This gin is a Total Wine house brand, featuring gin distilled by an undisclosed producer and bottled by Greenhouse Gin in Texas, USA. Not a ton of info on it, at least from the bottle, so were flying blind. Lets dive on in.

  • Nose:

Very interesting. Bright, fruity, A jelly belly candy nose. Sweet, glycerin, granny smith apple. Faint cucumber. Thats about it.

  • Taste:

Thin on the palate. Not a ton going on. Sweet, like a green apple Jolly Rancher candy. Almost too sweet. Ethanol is nonexistant. Candy sweetness hangs on the palate.

  • Finish:

There isnt really one. Apple fruit ring candies, faint ethanol, then its gone.

  • Overall:

There's nothing wrong here, but it doesn't really add up either. This is really sweet, and extremely fruit forward for a gin. I think its probably intended to be a mixer, but I'm not in love with it.
