Bombay Sapphire Partners With ‘Project Runway’s’ Youngest Winner on Cocktail-Inspired Haute Couture

In a dynamic cross-pollination of the fashion and mixology realms, Bombay Sapphire has joined forces with fashion maestro Christian Siriano to unveil an intriguing addition to its ongoing campaign, “Saw This, Made This.” The campaign, spearheaded by acclaimed filmmaker Baz Luhrmann last year, revolves around seeking artistic inspiration from normal everyday life.

The pièce de résistance of the new booze-inspired collaboration is Siriano’s haute couture gown, a nod to the Bombay Sapphire’s French 75 cocktail. With this couture marvel, Siriano channels the cocktail’s effervescent character through champagne-infused accents and bespoke Bombay Sapphire-hued fabrics.

During the Spring/Summer 2024 New York Fashion Week, the glimmering gown took center stage at The Pierre Hotel in New York City.

Siriano kickstarted his career in fashion in 2007 after becoming the fourth-season winner of “Project Runway.” Deemed the series’ youngest winner, he went on to successfully launch his “Christian Siriano” collection in 2008, which was estimated to have earned $5 million by 2012.

“As a designer, I find endless excitement in exploring disruptive ways to construct garments and challenge myself creatively,” Siriano said in a press release. “Partnering with Bombay Sapphire for the ‘Saw This, Made This’ campaign has allowed me to design a collection that transforms classic cocktail culture into fashion.”

“By continuing to explore my creative boundaries and find inspiration in the unexpected, in this case, the silhouette of a French 75 cocktail, I hope to inspire others to discover uncharted territories of their imagination.”

But the creativity doesn’t stop there. Post-gown revelation, Siriano is set to unveil a limited-edition capsule collection, scheduled to drop in time for the holiday season. Drawing inspiration from three more gin classics – Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic, Martini and Collins – this collection promises another interesting intersection of fashion and mixology.

Fashion enthusiasts and cocktail aficionados alike will be able to find the capsule collection available for purchase this autumn on ChristianSiriano.com.
